Echo Global Logistics' Joins EPA's SmartWay Transport Partnership, Achieves Highest Possible Score

CHICAGO, Feb 12, 2010 (GlobeNewswire via COMTEX News Network) -- Echo Global Logistics, Inc. (Nasdaq:ECHO), a leading provider of technology enabled transportation and supply chain management services, today announced that it has joined the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) SmartWay(SM) Transport Partnership, an initiative with the goal of environmentally cleaner, more fuel efficient transportation options.

After a comprehensive review of company operations, Echo was given the score of 1.25, which is the highest possible rating and represents "outstanding environmental performance." Partners with scores of 1.25 are awarded the honor of displaying the SmartWay Transport Partner logo, EPA's symbol for superior fuel efficiency and environmental performance.
